Youth Insearch is currently preparing a long term fundraising strategy, which will involve the development of a series of events that will aim to spread the word about the effectiveness of the Youth Insearch program and hopefully also raise some funds that could be used to expand the program across Australia. Following are some of the events that we are currently running and others that we hope to implement in the not too distant future.
Youth Insearch – Walk for Kids
Come join some of our athletic supporters for a walk from Coogee to Bondi to help raise funds for Youth Insearch on the 12th September 2010. The cost, which includes a free lunch, is $100 and is tax deductable. To register and for more information please email dasher83@hotmail.com
Network Luncheons
Youth Insearch currently runs regular network luncheons to help spread the word about Youth Insearch through the Corporate Community. We are currently looking for individuals and organisations with strong high level networks to host a luncheon on behalf of Youth Insearch. Bi Annual Appeals
Each year Youth Insearch runs two appeals (June and December). These appeals are designed to raise much needed funds for the organisation. A newsletter has been traditionally sent out to those on the Youth Insearch supporters list to highlight the excellent outcomes from the program and to keep our supporters abreast of any major developments within the organisation.
Annual Fundraising Gala Ball
Youth Insearch is proposing to hold an annual gala ball to help celebrate the achievements of Youth Insearch, promote the success of our youth leaders and help raise funds for the organisation. We are in early planning stages, with the first event being planned for 2011. If you have ideas or would like to nominate yourself for the organising committee please contact the Youth Insearch office.
Youth Insearch Family Picnic Day (concept)
Youth Insearch would love to host a yearly event designed as a reunion of all those people who have come through the program over the last 25 years, along with their friends and family. The day would be designed to be a fun filled day for all old boys and girls, with extended families included. The focus of the day would not be to raise funds, but to celebrate those networks and friendships that have been created through the program. If you have ideas on how such a day could work please feel free to contact the office.
Youth Insearch Public Event (concept)
Youth Insearch recognises the need for an event that can help raise the profile of the organisation within the general community. The concept would aim at increasing the profile of Youth Insearch and include fundraising initiatives to ensure the sustainability and potential expansion of the program. In time, a committee will be formed to start formulating such an event. Please contact the office if you would like to nominate yourself for the public event committee.
